Free Resources for QuickBooks

Often entrepreneurs find themselves scrapping to get by. It can also be quite overwhelming when you're juggling multiple hats within a small business. Finding reliable resources is hard enough, so finding free resources that can help start, grow and manage your business is an awesome gem to bookmark. The QuickBooks Resource Center is just the place to find the following:

I'd recommend taking a look at the Small Business Guides for quick guides and FAQs. For example, there's Everything a New Business Owner Needs to Know About Taxes and Accounting 101 for those that need to learn a little more about what's going on behind the scenes of QuickBooks. After teaching thousands of people how to use QuickBooks, I've realized many people lack a basic understanding of bookkeeping; like, creating a Balance Sheet or Profit and Loss Statement. Any successful business owner will tell you, accurate accounting records are the basis of all successful businesses.

If you're needing a few tools to add to your toolbox, check out the Tools and Calculators. For example, if your looking to pay your employees, quickly and accurately? Intuit’s free paycheck calculator makes it a cinch to calculate paychecks. There is also a free self-employment tax calculator for independent contractors. If you receive a Form 1099, you may owe self-employment taxes to the IRS.

Visual learners will really appreciate the advice given by real entrepreneurs. There are many stories of people who've chased their dreams and grown a small business. You may find this helpful as you learn how to grow a small business, overcome challenges, and think up new ideas that change the world. Pricing products and services is something often discussed and there are no shortages of books on the topic. Choosing a pricing strategy for your product can be intimidating because there’s a lot riding on it. You can tackle this task by breaking it down using these five considerations.

As a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor, I love to hear how my clients overcome challenges and learn new ideas that they implement successfully. I'm often asked to provide strategic insights to drive small business success. Please allow me to help you with that next challenge. If one-on-one support is something your looking for or would like to attend a public seminar near you, I invite you to contact me.
