20+ years of entrepreneurial experience developing and driving technology operations, leading educational programs, and supporting local community initiatives. Philip has played a pivotal role in shaping enterprise technology standards while empowering his clients with the knowledge and tools necessary for competing in today’s highly complex, globally-connected business environment.
Philip is the President and CEO of PHILANYA, INC., a licensed Mortgage Broker NMLS# 2130262.
In his roles as Program and Project Manager at Florida State College at Jacksonville, Philip has steered the development of new certification curriculum and propelled multimillion-dollar projects since 2013. His analytical talents, technical expertise, business acumen, and leadership skills were integral to the creation and integration of new national certifications endorsed by Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP), nationally portable, certificate-level programs in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM), and the Virtualization Integrated Technology Pilot project that established a centralized network of virtualized learning access points (LAP) and improved the efficiency of instructional technology at eight state colleges and 16 high schools. He continues to share his experience in IT with students in the role of Adjunct Professor.
Previously, Philip delivered technology services and logistical support to the US Coast Guard, US Customs & Border Protection's National Marine Center, and several other federal law enforcement agencies as an Information Systems Management Analyst with Organizational Strategies, Inc. His expertise in IT systems development and integration, instructional systems design, program management, security planning and administration, and remote support benefited clients across 30 multi-site locations, and led directly to a stellar 99.99% systems uptime rate as well as garnering the second highest security audit score ever received from the Department of Homeland Security.
As Chief Executive Officer at Gigabytes, LLC, Philip provided business clients in a variety of industries with managed IT services that extended across strategic planning, website development, systems design/development/integration, point-of-sale (POS) and electronic payment processing system implementation, and IT security, as well as expert IT systems troubleshooting and support. His keen relationship building and business development skills proved extremely valuable, enabling his startup company to generate hundreds of thousands of dollars in revenue within the first year of operation.
Before founding his own business, Philip honed his technical skills and customer service talents as a Retention Manager/Customer Support Specialist/Technical Support Specialist at AOL, Inc. and as a VAR National Accounts Manager at SYNNEX Corporation. His early career was marked by distinguished service throughout several tours of active duty in the United States Army.
In addition to numerous professional industry certifications and technical certificates, Philip holds an MBA from Jacksonville University, a Bachelor’s degree in Information Management & Systems from the University of South Carolina, and an Associate’s in Networking Services Technology from the Florida State College at Jacksonville.
